Duke -adopted in February 2004. He
is doing very well and is loved by
my son and his two cousins!

Our
family adopted a sweet, sweet pup from
your facility named Trey back in October
of this year. Trey is adorable and
has brought our family a tremendous
amount of joy. He seems very comfortable
in his new home and loves playing
with other dogs...he already has a
girlfriend, "Lucy". He sits,
shakes paws, catches footballs, walks
without a leash (some times likes
to play games)...but listens well
to command. Thank you again - we love
our pup. Good luck on your move. We
will definitely pass your name onto
others.

Shadow
seems to be extremely happy living
in my house and has become a part
of the family. He has brought a ton
of joy to my life as a great companion.
The vets latest checkup says that
he is in tip top shape. He loves going
for long walks and LOVED the snow
storm last week. We must have played
outside for an hour knee deep in snow!!!
I wanted to thank you for blessing
my life with Shadow..he is a doll.
Also wanted to thank you for doing
a great job. My experience with your
shelter has been a great one and I
highly recommend you to everyone I
know.

I
adopted the most wonderful dog from
your shelter in Oct 2003; Gretchen,
a cairn terrier. She is now named
Holly Jane and here she is with my
daughter Ann. We had just put down
our little terrier mix, Maggie May
and our house was just too quiet.
It took a good couple of months to
get Holly to understand that pooping
& peeing on the living room carpet
wasn’t acceptable. Holly is
my guard dog when I’m alone
and so I appreciate that. I want to
thank you all for rescuing her. She
is my special gift.

We
just wanted to write and thank the shelter
and Amy for matching us up with Bubbie.
He is already adjusting to his new home
in the city. We took him to the vet
and he is perfectly healthy, no issues
at all. Bubbie is very happy with his
home and appears to even be housebroken.
More than we could have asked for! |
I
just wanted to thank the Animal House
Shelter for giving us a gift that
we will always cherish for life. You
might remember him as Carter, a AM
Staff/Pitt Bull Terrier that we adopted
at the end of May of 2004. We came
to your shelter after a friend referred
us to you knowing your reputation
and love for animals. Our family consists
of my husband, myself and our two
daughters who were 4 and 6 years old
at the time we came to you. We had
lost our beloved beagle just the day
before we came to see you because
we felt in our hearts our home would
be empty without a dog to love. We
really wanted a "hound"
per say, but once we took one look
at "Carter", he is now named
Tank, we fell in love instantly and
has continued to grow daily. As a
lot of people are in this world, we
too were "nervous" about
having a "Pit Bull" but
after educating ourselves and friends/family,
we too have come to learn that they
are absolutely INCREDIBLE pets. Tank
is absolutely the greatest dog in
the entire world. He is SOOOOO funny,
GREAT with the girls, other dogs and
every human he has come in contact
with. He is extremely silly and loves
to be loved. He thrives on attention
and never lets anything bother him.
He certainly has gotten a lot bigger
than we possibly imagined...probably
about 80 plus pounds now but all of
it is pure heart. There is no way
in the world any of us can imagine
our home without him. In conclusion,
all that we really wanted to say is
thank you for helping us find a member
of our family which we will be eternally
grateful to you all. Thanks again
Animal House.....
