1 year ago we adopted Diesel (formerly Casper). He is the happiest most loving pup in the world- so glad he is part of our family! Merry Christmas!
We adopted two kittens from Animal House – we call them Jasmine and Boo (Ginger and Delta Dawn). They are the sweetest cats! Adopted two years apart, Jasmine has taken Little Boo under her wing and the two are inseparable! Boo is wearing a cone to keep her from licking at her stitches from a salivary gland surgery – and Jasmine is helping to clean her head and face. We think this is absolutely precious!!
We adopted Millie in July 2012 and she has brought us so much joy!!! Words can’t express how grateful we are. Thank you AHS!
One of the first families that responded to us about Snuffy has adopted him!
Here are the boys in the family that promised to be very gentle and loving to their new pup!
The family will provide for all of Snuffy’s future medical needs.
Congratulations Snuffy on finding the perfect forever home!
My name is SNUFFY and I have a very sad story…………..
My mom, Sesame, was rescued by AHS from a high kill pound before she was set to be euthanized. She was pregnant with me and my siblings at the time so I am so very grateful that AHS stepped in just in time. My mom was placed safely in a foster home where she gave birth to me and five other litter mates. At first, I had some trouble nursing since my mouth wasn’t formed perfectly. I have an overbite but my foster mom helped by supplementing me with a bottle. My mom is only 10 lbs herself so she needed all the help she could get supporting 6 babies. I survived and am now 10 weeks old and my whole litter is going up for adoption. AHS noticed I had a loud sound to my heart and brought me to the vet to be checked out…………………… The vet said I was born with several congenital defects. There is a soft spot on my head where my skull didn’t completely form to protect me. That along with my jaw not being formed perfectly were already set backs for me as a tiny pup. Now the vet says I have a grade 5 heart murmur which is why I get sleepy more easily and can’t keep up with all of my littermates as they play. I am afraid nobody will want me. My life expectancy is uncertain. I could live anywhere from 6 years to as little as a few weeks. No matter how long the time is that I have on this earth, I want it to be with a family that loves me. I am only 3 lbs. Can you find a place in your home and heart to adopt me or sponsor me while I am under the care of Animal House Shelter?
