Meet DeeDee! She is a brindle and white, American Staffordshire Terrier/Plott Hound and she is 5 years old.
Deedee came to AHS from a high-kill shelter in Tennessee in March 2022. Upon arrival, Deedee was limping on her right rear leg. She was immediately sent to one of our veterinarians for a full examination and x-rays. The doctor informed us that Deedee had a grade 3/4 luxating patella and a chronic dislocated right hip. Deedee needed FHO surgery, as well as surgery to fix her knee. First, she had the FHO surgery and once healed, they went back in to fix her luxating patella.
Now DeeDee is heeled and enjoying her life pain free! She loves to run, sometimes she will even have the “zoomies”. DeeDee knows “sit” and keeps her kennel clean here at the shelter. She loves to play, wouldn’t you love to play with me. She is super playful and affectionate. She is sometimes shy at first when meeting people but she warms up quickly and loves to give kisses! DeeDee would love to “give thanks” for a forever home that will love her to the moon and back!
