Temperament: Meet Darcy! Darcy is a sweet and loyal pup who’s just as happy curled up next to you on the couch as she is lounging quietly in her dog bed. She’s a world-class snuggler who loves to press in close when it’s cuddle time. This lovely girl is housebroken, crate trained (she walks right in without a fuss!), and rarely barks. Darcy gets along well with other dogs and has excellent home manners. She does have a playful side—especially if a squirrel dares to enter her yard! While she can be a bit timid in new situations, her gentle nature and eagerness to please shine through. Darcy would do best in a calm, patient home where she can feel safe and loved. If you're looking for a quiet companion with a heart of gold, Darcy may be your perfect match.

All dogs are microchipped, neutered, current on all vaccines, heartworm tested (if age appropriate), and up-to-date on preventatives at the time of adoption.

All household members and any dogs from the household need to be present to be able to adopt. A photo ID will be required at the time of adoption.

Appointments are recommended. All applications are considered general. Specific animals are NOT put on hold for adoption. When you visit, our adoption counselors will be able to make suggestions based on the type of pet you are looking for and help you find the best fit for your family.

Animal House Shelter cannot guarantee the breeds of the adoptable animals. The animals are posted on the website as the breed or breed mix based on their physical characteristics they most resemble. We also cannot guarantee the ages of our adoptable animals or how large puppies will be when fully grown.
