LANCELOT IS IN FOSTER CARE! PLEASE FILL OUT THE ADOPTION APPLICATION AND WE WILL CALL AS SOON AS WE RECEIVE IT TO SET UP AN APPOINTMENT FOR YOU TO MEET HIM!
I love other dogs & all people! I would do best in a home with adults and older children because I am a little shy. I am good with cats too! I am 45 pounds.
My sister is Guinevere
A note from Lancelot’s foster mom:
“Lancelot came to his foster home on February 17, 2018.
At the Shelter he was very shy and scared of anyone new. However, after 3 hours after we arrived home, he made himself at home. He jumped on the couch and sat down like he had been doing it for years.
Lance is a gentle and for the most part mellow dog. He will sit at our feet or cuddle up with us on the couch when watching TV, or when my nephew plays video games. Due to his age he still does require to get his energy out, but he is good with playing independently or with his foster sister (dog about the same size as he is). He will play for a short period of time then take a 2 hour nap.
Lance can’t get enough if being rubbed and scratched (pretty much anywhere), but truly enjoys a good scratch under his chin. He enjoys playing with toys such as squeaky toys and raw hides (and even your slippers, but does stay away from your shoes). He enjoys to play tug of war with a rope toy as well as fetch with a tennis ball. He fetches the ball, brings it back and will release it to you.
When I leave the house Lance is in a crate. Although he doesn’t enjoy getting into the crate, he doesn’t make it to difficult (especially when he knows you better). Was in the crate he does well and has not gone to the bathroom in it. Lance walks well on a leash, except for when he gets scared he will pull.
Lance is currently working on being potty trained, responding to his name, commands such as sit, and stay. He does already know the command “come”. He is on a potty schedule of going out every 2 to 2 1/2 hours. Although he is not potty trained he will sleep through the nights (not in a crate for 8 hours) without any accidents.
Lancelot is a great dog. He just needs a home that is willing to put in a little work with him regarding potty training.”
