A note from Sassy’s former family: “Our house in infinitely quieter and sadder without her . She was completely befitting if her name; Sassy. She was an amazing cat with a hilarious and fun personality. She is not one of the cats that keeps to themselves, she was always present and loved her human and furry siblings. Her favorite things to do were cuddling with the dog and waiting for our son’s bus and supervising meal time and cooking. She has the spunk and personality still of a kitten and loves to have fun and play with other animals. She would do best in a home with another cat or child to play with. She has never scratched, bitten or even hissed at anyone. She is full of love, cuddles and laughs. She also loves the shower, as soon as you get out, she will pass you and run in to play in the residual water. She loves people food and if left unsupervised, will lick or eat it. She loves a good meal. She absolutely loves belly rubs and many times through out the day will throw herself at your feet, or the dogs feet and lay on her back awaiting a good scratching. She is the best and deserves a home with someone who can love on her and give her friends to pay with. She also enjoys looking out the window.”
All household members need to be present at the time of adoption.
Our website is always kept 100% up to date with who is currently available. All new animals (40/week) are added to the site 2 weeks before their availability date to give you time to fill out your adoption application and get the family ready to come out to the shelter that day. As soon as animals are adopted, they are moved to the Adopted Pets page so if they are still listed on the Adoptable Dogs or Cats page, they are still available. Keep any eye on our website for any animals being added as available for adoption as new animals are added everyday! We would recommend if you haven’t done so already that you submit a general online adoption application with us so it is on file for when you are ready to come out and adopt. The adoption counselors will be able to show you many that would be a good fit for your family. So it is always best that you get your general application for any animal in with us as soon as possible.
Please fill out an online application and we will give you a call as soon as we receive it. Visit our ‘Adopt’ page to view adoption process steps, policies, requirements and FAQ. View our ‘Visit’ page for hours and directions to our shelter. We look forward to seeing you soon!
