Temperament: Meet Jerry, an absolutely amazing dog who's looking for a special forever home! This handsome boy may be a bit shy at first, so he needs someone who can give him the time and space to come out of his shell. But once Jerry realizes you're family, get ready for a ton of loyalty, love, and snuggles! His foster family is working hard to help him feel more comfortable around new people, and he's slowly coming along, so his future adopter would need to continue his training with that. Jerry shares his home with four kids ages 5 to 11, and he absolutely loves them. While he might play a bit rough since he doesn’t quite realize his size, older kids are probably best, although his foster 5-year-old is his best bud. Potty training? No worries there! Jerry is a champ at going outside and has zero accidents. Plus, he’s perfectly happy chilling on the couch, patiently waiting for his family to come back home—no need for a crate! All dogs are microchipped, neutered, current on all vaccines, heartworm tested (if age appropriate), and up-to-date on preventatives at the time of adoption.

An application is required to view our adoptable pets. All household members and any dogs from the household need to be present to be able to adopt. A photo ID will be required at the time of adoption.

Appointments are recommended. All applications are considered general. Specific animals are NOT put on hold for adoption. When you visit, our adoption counselors will be able to make suggestions based on the type of pet you are looking for and help you find the best fit for your family.

Animal House Shelter cannot guarantee the breeds of the adoptable animals. The animals are posted on the website as the breed or breed mix based on their physical characteristics they most resemble. We also cannot guarantee the ages of our adoptable animals or how large puppies will be when fully grown.
