Meet Eclipse — AHS Cat of the Month!
Just like a solar eclipse, Eclipse spent much of her life hidden in the shadows. When she first arrived at Animal House Shelter with her three babies (one of whom, Star, is still waiting for a forever home), she was incredibly timid. She found comfort tucked away under cages or blankets, watching the world from a safe distance while she learned that people could be kind.
With patience, love, and time, Eclipse has slowly emerged from the darkness. Today, you’re much more likely to find her relaxing in a sunny window, quietly taking in the world around her. While she can still be cautious with new people, she’s happy to accept gentle pets as long as she’s approached calmly and given the chance to feel safe.
Eclipse has a playful side that shines through once she’s comfortable. She especially enjoys fishing rod toys and battery-powered toys that dart and twirl across the floor, bringing out her curious and playful spirit. She does best with older children and adults who understand that trust takes time.
Eclipse is looking for a calm, quiet home where she can continue to blossom at her own pace. With a patient and loving family willing to let her adjust in her own time, this sweet girl will reward you by letting her gentle personality shine brighter every day. Sometimes the most beautiful light comes after a period of darkness—and Eclipse is ready to brighten someone’s life forever.
