“Rizzo (shelter name was Lyra) joined my pack at the end of December 2021. Since then she’s been a source of silliness and snuggles, my hiking and road trip companion, and just an all-around good dog!”

“Here’s a picture of Jordy (shelter name Ida). We had a lot of fun playing in the snow. Unfortunately, Frosty was destroyed later that day. We start school soon. She’s a very, very smart puppy.”

We have had Daisy ( Now Georgia, or Gigi for short) for a whole year, we just wanted to share an update. We couldn’t imagine our life without her. She is the Energizer bunny. She loves adventures and being outdoors and making friends. She’s so social and has big FoMo. She’s a big daddy’s girl and loves taking up the whole bed at night. She has 2 kitty brothers who she loves to clean like they’re her babies. She’s been to 2 state parks so far and loves hiking. For her first birthday in March 2023, she spent the whole day playing and running with all her doggie friends and family at her birthday party. She’s grown so much in the year we’ve had her. We are so grateful for you for bringing her to us.

Pops – he is a very good boy! I wanted to share a picture. He is already asking for belly rubs!!

This is Bodie formerly known as Darwin. He’s sporting his new puppy cut. How cute is that! This little man is definitely keeping us on our toes. We’re still working on house breaking and some separation anxiety. He’s very much a puppy. He gets along fine with his new big sister. She has no problem letting him know when he gets to be a bit much. Lol! But oh my he’s the sweetest boy ever! I think we’ll keep him!

We adopted Penny in 2020. After bonding with her during volunteering, I couldn’t survive the shut down without her She is loved so much!

“I adopted Shadow. I just love this cat. He is totally adorable. He’s a lap cat too. It’s like he has always been here.”

Hello, it has almost been 2 years since I adopted Guppy (Gordo at the time). He is my best friend and has grown so much in that time. Before he didn’t know how to use stairs, walk on a leash, and was always terrified of people. He is now an affectionate, adventurous, and spunky little guy. I am so grateful for him.

3 year anniversary adopting Atticus from you all and he is the greatest gift. He’s changed my life in the best way and I am forever grateful to you all for giving him the best start!!

We adopted Jax, now called “Kika” on memorial Day weekend and couldn’t be happier. Our vet said Huntley animal shelter did a fantastic job and keeping him healthy. Kika is thriving and enjoying all the attention. Kika is very sociable playful and calm, just what I wanted. I’m glad I made the trip to check him out.

It’s only been a week and we are head over heals in love with Luke over here! He is being so good with our cats and was showing us his goofy side from the first day
We love him so much already and can’t wait to watch him grow.

It seems like just yesterday we took our Reese’s pieces home as a critical care foster. She has overcome so much and makes us laugh every day. We can’t imagine our lives without her and it’s hard to believe she just turned 4!

“We adopted our sweet dog Scarlett (shelter name Sunshine) on 12/29/2021. She was thin so we started feeding her Ollie fresh dog food. She has gained weight and is doing very well. She sleeps with us and visits her groomer every two months. Thank you for sending this sweet dog into our lives”.

Love, love, love our pups from Animal House! Loretta Lynn graduated Puppy I and Level II classes. Willie Nelson loves learning from his big sister, Loretta.
They both adapted to each other instantly. They are best buds: ) We love our new family. Thank you!

I just wanted to update you on Ellie, now Scout. I’ve included a picture of her when we brought her home weighing 12 lb. and her now at 50 lb. I also included the results of her DNA testing as I thought you’d be interested in knowing what her and her sister actually are genetically.

They were thought to be German Shepherd / Boxer but they have no German Shepherd in them at all and very little Boxer. It absolutely blew me away to find out that the largest percentage in their DNA was Rottweiler and then Golden Retriever.

We are enjoying her Everyday! She is such a loving and funny dog. She goes outside and she gets into EVERYTHING!! She drags around bags of mulch and any plastic bags flying through the air that land in the yard, all her toys, and she finds sticks and runs with them and tosses them up in the air to herself, and she loves running after the balls we throw to her. This dog has so much energy it’s amazing!

Dixie in her new home. Such a happy camper!

We adopted Lola (formerly known as Jan) in January 2022 and she is doing great! She loves her walks, humans and cat brother Bill!

I’ve had Vitae for a little over a year and she has filled my life with love and laughter. She loves making dog friends, watching her yard, going for boat rides and swimming. I couldn’t have asked for a better dog.
